European Expert Association co-organized the session Global Cybersecurity Trends in Digital Era, which took place on September 26, 2019 within the framework of the III Kharkiv International Legal Forum at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University (Kharkiv).

It’s of vital importance to further improve national legislation in the field of information and cybersecurity and the mechanisms of international cooperation in the area of ​​responsibility for digital crimes. Ukraine needs to develop digital literacy and its own ways to counteract information threats based on the best international experience.

The participants of the Session discussed the legal frameworks of digital technologies, noted the positive developments, but acknowledged that in general this area of ​​jurisprudence remains a “gray zone” and does not always keep up with the progress of technologies.

Among the speakers of the session were Denise Mazzolani, OSCE Secretariat (Vienna), Davydas Vitkauskas, Head of the EU PRAVO-Justice Project, Maria Avdeeva, European Expert Association, Olga Shapoval, Kharkiv IT Cluster, OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine, lawyers and IT experts. The moderator of the panel discussion was Doctor of Law Bohdan Golovkin.
