Maria Avdeeva representing European Expert Association has been invited to participate at the Warsaw Euro-Atlantic Summer Academy. WEASA 2019 entitled “Democracy in a Digital Era: Humans, Machines, Politics, Truth” was hosted July 7-17 at the Natolin Campus of the College of Europe (Warsaw, Poland).

WEASA was organized by the College of Europe Natolin campus, the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), the Polish-American Freedom Foundation (PAFF), and supported by the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission.
Participants of WEASA 2019 had fascinating workshops with high level experts on humanity’s complex relationship with technology, the role that algorithms play in modern society, social media and contemporary journalism, digital security, disinformation, fake news and open source journalistic investigations.
